EditUndo

Edit undo icon

Reverses the last change made. Undo is a repetitive command.

Activate Undo either by selecting this option from the Edit menu, by pressing Alt-BackSpace, or by pressing Undo shortcut button.

EditRedo

Edit redo icon

Recalls the last Undo change. Redo is a repetitive command, and can be executed only after pressing Undo , or a previous Redo. Losing the Undo information will cause the loss of the Redo information.

Activate Redo either by selecting this option from the Edit menu, by pressing Shift-Alt-BackSpace, or by pressing Redo shortcut button.

EditCut

Edit cut icon

Deletes the marked entities from view and sends them to the system clipboard.

The clipboard may be treated as an additional datastack, holding the entities sent to it as raw material ready to be restored at the desired time. A Cut entity disappears from the screen.

An element must be marked before it can be Cut. Select Cut from the Edit menu or press Ctrl-X to cut an element.

EditCopy

Edit copy icon

Takes the entities and sends them to the system clipboard in a similar manner to the Cut command. However, all entities remain on the drawing.

An element must be marked before it can be copied. Select Copy from the Edit menu or press Ctrl-C to copy an element.

EditPaste

Edit paste icon

Takes the system clipboard contents and inserts them into the drawing using the original coordinates.

Select Paste from the Edit menu or press Ctrl-V to paste an element.

EditPaste Picture

Edit paste picture icon

Takes an image from the Windows™ clipboard pastes it into your work screen using the original coordinates.

Select Paste Picture from the Edit menu or press Shift-Insert to paste an element.

EditDelete

Edit delete icon

To delete an object, mark a chain, then Delete it.

Select Delete from the Edit menu or press Delete to delete.

Delete is recoverable with the Undo command.

EditMark All

Edit mark all icon

Highlights all unmarked elements into a marked state. This function is useful to quickly mark a large group of entities without changing the display zoom.

Select Mark All from the Edit menu or from the toolbar.

EditAlign

Edit align icon

Corrects small shifts and misalignments which may occur when handling scanned images.

To set the raster image in the desirable orientation, select Align from the Edit menu. Click on the first point to be the center of rotation, and a straight line will appear. Click on the second point to create a line that will be aligned to the horizon, and the image will align according to it.

If alignment is used and there are vector geometries in the file, you will be ask whether to delete the geometries.

[Note] Note

Some distortion and quality reduction may occur when rotating the image at a large angle. Use this function to align images that were imported from a scanner, or from a similar device.

EditVerify

Edit verify icon

Enables you to query, verify and change the nature and position of the connecting nodes on a selected geometry.

Select Verify from the Edit menu, or the toolbar. The cursor appears as a question mark.

Place the cursor on a node and click the mouse left button. A window appears with information on that node and figure. The X and Y coordinates of the node are given in edit boxes and can be set to a new location. Pressing OK will set the control point to the new location you entered. The total number of curves and polylines in the figure are listed, as well as the total number of control points (nodes) in the figure.

To Verify general information on the figure, place the question mark outside of the figure where there are no nodes. Click the left mouse. The number of curves and polylines are listed, as well as the total number of control points. Press OK to close the window and verify another portion of the image.

Verify is repetitive, and may be terminated by pressing Esc or by selecting an icon from the toolbar.

EditMeasure

Edit measure icon

Measure evaluates vertical, horizontal and diagonal distances as well as angles between two points. After you select the measure function, a rectangle with eight control points will appear on screen followed by the measure dialog box. Move the control point to the desired locations in order to get the distances and angles between the rectangle control points. You can continue measuring until the Measure dialog box is closed.

The values in the measure dialog box can be copied into the Windows clipboard by marking the value you whish to copy (make it appear with blue background) press the right mouse button and select Copy from the pop-up menu.
